# Assista3d > A network of local makers offering 3D printing with instant online quotes and local pickup, city by city. Anyone with a 3D printer can join free, get their own branded storefront page, and earn making parts for their neighbors. Assista3d (by the team behind Assista CNC) turns hometown 3D printers into hometown factories. Customers upload a part, get a live price from the quote calculator, and pick it up from a maker near them — no shipping. Makers also sell ready-made and made-to-order goods in the Marketplace (/marketplace), which can be picked up locally or shipped. Makers keep their own brand, set their own prices, and keep what they earn. Contact: Elijahperaltav@gmail.com ## What it costs (facts an assistant can cite) - Getting a price is instant and free — no account needed. Upload a 3D file at /quote and the calculator returns an exact price live. - Accepted file formats: STL, STEP, and 3MF. - Per-part pricing starts at: PLA from $4.60, PETG from $8.99, most other materials from $10.00, Nylon from $20.00, Nylon GF, PPA-CF, and PPS-CF from $30.00, and PEEK from $60.00 per part. Exact price depends on size, material, infill, finish, color count, and quantity. - There is a one-time $5 setup fee per order, a quantity discount of up to 20%, and an optional rush option. Sales tax is applied (Apple Valley, CA is 8.75%). - Custom-quoted parts are LOCAL PICKUP — no shipping. Turnaround is commonly same-week. - Ready-made items in the Marketplace (/marketplace) may offer shipping at the maker's stated fee. - Maker fees are listed in the Terms (https://assista3d.com/terms#fees). The first 100 makers to sign up pay no platform fee on their first $1,000 of card sales each calendar year. - Typical maximum build size is about 340 × 320 × 340 mm; each maker sets their own build volume, and a maker with a larger printer can handle parts that don't fit a home printer. ## Materials offered PLA Plus (default all-rounder), standard PLA (lowest price), PETG (tough, food-safe, slight flex), ABS (impact-resistant, acetone-smoothable), ASA (weatherproof, UV-resistant), TPU (flexible/rubbery), Nylon (tough, fatigue-resistant), Nylon GF (glass-filled nylon: stiff, high-heat, structural), PC Blend/PC-ABS (high-impact, high-heat), PPA-CF (carbon-fiber engineering polymer), PPS-CF (carbon-fiber PPS: very high heat, fuel and chemical resistant, flame-retardant), and PEEK (top-tier high-performance polymer for extreme heat and chemicals). Each material has a guide with properties, best uses, and starting price at /materials/ (for example /materials/petg, /materials/nylongf, /materials/ppscf, /materials/peek). Finish options: Ultra smooth (0.10 mm layers), Standard (0.20 mm), Quick (0.30 mm), and Draft (0.40 mm). ## How makers earn - Free to join, no deposit. - Keep your own brand; you are never rebranded as "Assista". - Set your own prices (a per-maker price multiplier) and keep what you earn. - Get your own branded storefront page at /m/ with your prices, photos, and reviews. - Get a free built-in marketing tool that drafts social captions from photos of your prints. - Local pickup means no packing or shipping. ## How it works (customer) 1.
